Affirmations in New Thought and New Age terminology refer primarily to the practice of positive thinking and self-empowerment - a belief that a positive mental attitude supported by affirmations will achieve success in anything. More specifically, an affirmation is a carefully formatted statement that should be repeated to one's self and written down frequently. For affirmations to be effective, it is said that they needs to be present tense, positive, personal and specific.

Its true that affirmation combined with meditation, can result in a happy life. The problem is that most of the people are not aware of the benefits of affirmations and meditation. A 2009 study found that positive affirmation had a small, positive effect on people with high self-esteem. Some studies have found that self-affirmations, which involve writing about one's core values rather than repeating a positive self-statement, can improve performance under stress.
Much like exercise, affirmations raise the level of feel-good hormones and push our brains to form new clusters of positive though. It will drive divine energy and cosmic energy into your body. Positive thinking and positive affirmation power can be experienced through meditation. It will surely help you to achieve success. It affects your subconscious mind. You need to visualize in order to get the energy that can literally transform your life. Visualization is a very important element of this technique. Affirmations only works if you combine it will proper visualization.
